Sciame was the Construction Manager responsible for coordinating the delivery and installation of five prefabricated homes into a vacant lot to the west of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) for an exhibit titled “Home Delivery: Fabricating the Modern Dwelling.”
Due to the project involving five different units within a short time span, deliveries and assembly had to be orchestrated to occur simultaneously and seamlessly. Each home required a unique set of logistics in terms of space, foundations, electrical connections and rigging equipment within 17,000 square feet of the west lot. Working with several architect teams and their designs required not only various sets of tools and strategies, but also checking that all parts arrived unaltered from the delivery process.
Sciame was able to navigate the massive collaboration needed to bring this project to a successful conclusion. This required constant communication and close coordination among all five design teams, the MoMA, and consultants. “Home Delivery” opened to the public on July 20th to favorable reviews in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and many other news outlets who were all impressed by the sheer ambition of the show.

The Perelman Performing Arts Center will provide versatile layouts across three theater spaces, which can be combined to offer a range of seating configurations. Additionally, the venue will feature a lobby level complete with a bar, café, terrace, and stage.
