Sciame was the Construction Manager responsible for the renovation of the lobby and second floor of the office building housing J.P. Morgan’s investment banking division.
The lobby renovation included the installation of 14 new security turnstiles, new terrazzo flooring, the restoration of existing flooring, new light fixtures in the POPS, elevator, and escalator areas, and a Barrisol stretched fabric ceiling system. The stretched fabric was installed within a frame integrated with lighting, which required sprinkler and HVAC modifications to facilitate its installation.
The second-floor renovations involved demolition and construction work while maintaining full operational capacity of the building. Demolition tasks included the removal of existing partitions, ceilings, flooring, sheet metal, piping, electrical systems, and sprinkler devices. Additionally, a new Starbucks was constructed, and an existing café underwent renovation, which involved relocating MEP systems and installing new equipment, kiosks, and checkout counters. The second floor also features a newly furnished lounge and corridor.
