Sciame is the Construction Manager responsible for the restoration and conversion of an existing parking garage located in the historic West Village of New York City. The project involves the restoration of the existing facade, while the interior structure is demolished and the full basement is excavated to accommodate the new program. This requires complex structural modifications, temporary bracing of the existing structural conditions, and a detailed demolition and new construction sequence.
The current 4-story structure, built in 1931, will be transformed into seven high-end luxury condominiums, each boasting its own unique features. The renovated area will be divided into a variety of luxurious living spaces, including three elegant apartments, two stunning penthouses complete with rooftop terraces, and two charming townhouses. Each townhouse will have its own wine cellar, theater room, and private rear yard space. The building’s amenities will include an indoor pickleball court, three parking spaces, and a gym located in the cellar of the building.
