Fordham University - 140 W. 62nd Street (Lincoln Center)

Sciame was the Construction Manager responsible for the renovation of the five-story, 135,000 SF Fordham University building at the Lincoln Center campus. The project involved transforming the facility to include modern classrooms, administrative offices, and conference rooms, while integrating cutting-edge design and construction solutions to meet the university’s evolving needs.

The renovation included a complete upgrade to the MEP systems, ensuring the building met current efficiency and safety standards. The library was redesigned with new stacks and a double-height layout, creating an open and inviting space. A visually striking new plaza entrance was also constructed, enhancing campus connectivity.

The north and south facades were fitted with new curtain wall systems featuring energy-efficient glazing, improving natural light and thermal performance. Accessibility improvements included the installation of new elevators, facilitating movement across the building’s five floors. Sciame carefully managed the complexities of renovating an occupied campus building, coordinating with university stakeholders to minimize disruption to ongoing operations.
