Trinity Church

Sciame is the Construction Manager responsible for the multi-year restoration of Trinity Church, an episcopal church with a rich history dating to 1697. The current building, completed in 1846, was designed by British architect Richard Upjohn and is now a registered National Historic Landmark. The surrounding cemetery contains monuments to Alexander Hamilton and Robert Fulton. The church is one of the earliest Neo-Gothic structures in the United States and is considered a masterpiece of masonry construction.

The restoration of Trinity Church is led by MBB Architects and Building Conservation Associates. Work on the church includes a sensitive interior renovation and conservation, building systems upgrade, accessibility enhancements, and site improvements. The original stained-glass windows will be thoroughly examined and restored both on and off-site. Office and service spaces will be enhanced to support the multi-programmatic missions of Trinity Church.
