Sciame was the Construction Manager responsible for the renovation and expansion of a 7-story office building located in Downtown Brooklyn. The project involved adding seven floors to the existing structure, effectively doubling its size to 113,000 SF. The newly renovated building serves commercial, retail, and residential purposes.

To guarantee a smooth and efficient execution, the project was conducted in phases. This approach allowed for the fit-out and occupancy of the initial two levels, designated for commercial and retail purposes, while the upper floors were converted into residential units. Additional residential levels were constructed, resulting in a total of 71 residential units. Each residential floor features seven apartment units, with a rooftop terrace completing the development.

The project’s scope included significant structural reinforcement and restoration of the building’s exterior facade. Additionally, a new rainscreen was installed on the added floors to enhance the building’s longevity and durability.
