Moncler Fifth Avenue Flagship

Sciame was the Construction Manager responsible for the interior fit-out and entryway exterior work of Moncler’s largest retail location worldwide, situated in the iconic General Motors Building in Midtown Manhattan. The new two-story flagship underwent a full transformation, beginning with the demolition of existing partitions and the construction of new walls to accommodate Moncler’s luxury retail program. Core infrastructure upgrades included comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) improvements, featuring new HVAC systems, lighting, and plumbing installations. Fire protection systems, sprinklers, alarms, and emergency lighting were incorporated in compliance with NYC building codes. The interior was completed with high-end finishes, including marble flooring, custom millwork, and designer lighting, executed in close coordination with Moncler’s selected millworker and stone setter.

Exterior work focused on refining the storefront while maintaining the architectural integrity of the building, along with the installation of new entryways, display windows, and signage aligned with Moncler’s brand identity. The project placed a strong emphasis on accessibility, ensuring full compliance with ADA standards, and integrated sustainability measures, including energy-efficient systems and environmentally responsible materials, as part of its pursuit of LEED Gold certification. Sciame brought valuable experience to the project, having previously completed the interior renovation and fit-out of the FAO Schwarz flagship store at the same location in 2004.
